Equal Opportunity / Culturally Diverse Workplace
POLICY NO. 101 -
The Economic Opportunity Foundation, Inc. (EOF) adheres to all federal and state anti-discrimination laws, and will provide equal employment opportunity to all applicants and employees without regard to age, sex, race, religion, national origin, disability, or veteran status. This opportunity applies to recruitment, selection, placement, compensation, benefits, promotion, transfer, layoff, recall, termination, and all other privileges, terms and conditions of employment.
In addition, EOF will strive to employ a qualified staff that is a reflection of the community of people from whom it recruits and whom it serves. EOF will make a broad effort to recruit using this policy to advertise and give every consideration to those who have been economically, educationally, or socially disadvantaged if they have the will and the ability to perform the job.
As general rule, job openings will be posted on-site for five (5) working days to give employees first opportunity to apply. However, this guideline may be waived if the Executive Director determines that a waiver is in the best interest of the organization.
An Equal Opportunity Specialist is available to provide counseling, advice and assistance to agency employees regarding EEO related problems, and/or potential violations of this policy. Anyone needing the services of the EEO Specialist should contact John Burgess, 371-7800, M-F, 8:30-5:00 to schedule an appointment.
