Don Gray, General Manager of the Board of Public Utilities;

Cindy Cash, President / CEO of the KCK Chamber of Commerce.

Nick Haines, Executive Producer of Public Affairs for KCPT will moderate the panel and Q&A.

The public will be invited to ask questions and offer their thoughts about how to best respond to need in Wyandotte County.

All attendees will receive a copy of the Executive Summary of the Community Needs Assessment. Refreshments will be served.

The Assessment was the result of a collaboration between EOF and United Way, with participation from ten other nonprofit agencies serving Wyandotte County. The results include survey data from more than 600 clients receiving services at nonprofit agencies and from more than 500 other community stakeholders who completed an online version of the assessment survey. Three focus groups provided some depth to the raw data. The pending release of new 2010 Census and American Community Survey data will complement these results

Economic Opportunity Foundation has regularly conducted Community Needs Assessments as part of its efforts to better understand the clients it serves, and to gauge the agency’s impact on these families. This year, the agency sought to utilize the United Way’s strong relationships with other community organizations to expand the scope of its investigation.

This study was funded in part by a Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary Award administered by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation
