The Head Start Program uses a child development and education approach for all children, in partnership with their parents, to help children gain the social competences, school readiness skills, and confidence necessary to be prepared to succeed in their current preschool environment, and with later responsibilities in school and life.

Last year we provided safe and affordable early education opportunities to 878 children, 810 agency children and 68 with Delegate Agency in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Our Head Start Program offers Full Day and Part-Day Centers.  Centers are defined Part-Day and Full Day by the following criteria:

  • Full Day - Centers that operate from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Parents who work or are in school is eligible for this program.  Transportation is provided by parents.
  •  Part-Day - Centers that operate  two (2) session daily (a.m. and p.m.).  The first session runs from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and the second runs from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Part-Day Centers has school buses that provide transportation for students.

Economic Opportunity Foundation Inc. Head Start Program operates twelve (12) Centers and a Delegate Center in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
