HUD Counseling
E.O.F. has been providing housing related services for many of the years we have been in existence. We have been a HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency for over 18 years. Our housing related services and activities include but are not limited to preventive homeless activities, rent assistance, landlord/tenant rights and negotiations, mortgage default counseling (limited case by case basis only).
Housing counseling activities also include referrals to partner and other agencies as warranted.
Our main office is handicapped accessible, we are on the bus line (a bus stops directly in front of the building), our counseling room is private, our files are appropriately maintained and there are no charges or fees for our services.
AGENCY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Families/individuals seeking assistance have to be residents of Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas. Total Household Income has to be within 150% of the Federal Income Poverty Guidelines. There are no income guidelines for Mortgage Default Counseling, however mortgagors seeking financial assistance have to be with the income guideline as stated above and reside in Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas.
SERVICE DELIVERY:
Hours of Operation: Applications are taken from Monday through Thursday - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and by appointment only. Walk-ins are provided with the information necessary to make application and/or referred to the United Way resources number as warranted.
Responsible Staff: The Housing Services Department consist of two (2) full-time staff persons, the Housing Services Coordinator and the Housing Services Assistant.
