Social Services Department
The Social Services Department is located in our Central Office at 1542 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas 66102.
Economic Opportunity Foundation, Inc. Social Services Department is headed up by Mr.s Bettye Armstrong, Social Service Director and Mrs. Juanita Newton, Social Services Coordinator
Programs offered through this department are:
- Housing Program
- Total Family Program
- Emphasis on Family Program
- Utility Assistance Program
- Food Pantry Program
- Commodity Program
- Job Placement
Our Social Services Department networks with many of the social services agencies, organizations, business, government entities etc. throughout the community and surrounding areas in an effort to maximize services to the Wyandotte County area.
Last year alone, E.O.F. helped 536 families obtain funds needed to pay rent, monthly mortgage and /or utility bills.
We also provided support to 536 disabled individuals to help them remain in their own homes.
E.O.F. has two neighborhood Centers, Northside Center and Southside Center, where clients can seek assistance. Both Neighborhood Centers has a Case Manager on staff.
