While the EOF team is proud of our locally focused efforts and network, sometimes outside resources are also helpful. Just like we partner with Community Action Agencies across the state, there are also statewide agencies that have reached into Wyandotte County to partner with us. 

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is a church ministry that offers emergency assistance services for basic needs such as heating bills, food, and housing, for families in poverty, the unemployed, homeless, stranded, and struggling, as well as immigrants and senior citizens. Their social workers can also refer those in need to free legal aid and more.

Kansas Legal Services is a statewide non-profit agency that helps the low-income, elderly, and disabled through the provision of essential legal, mediation, consultations, and employment training services. They also provide legal assistance pertaining to debt and financial needs.

Salvation Army is a non-profit agency that focuses on the impoverished children and senior citizens of Kansas. They offer free food, clothing, school supplies, and emergency motel vouchers. Home-delivered meals are also available for shut-ins as is a safe haven for the homeless to take refuge.

United Way Essential Community Services is an agency that helps meet the financial and legal needs of tenants facing eviction, homeless families in need of being rehoused, disabled veterans and single parents dealing with housing discrimination.

Urban League of Kansas is a state-wide non-profit agency that can provide advice and referrals over the phone for everything from free job training opportunities to emergency rent for pending evictions to assisting the homeless gain self-sufficiency.

EOF is committed to the Promise of Community Action. But as impactful as we believe our programs to be, we know that we cannot make America a better place to live on our own. Kansas is home to seven other Community Action Agencies, and if you live outside of Wyandotte County, one of them is waiting to help you on your way out of poverty and into prosperity. 
 

Community Action, Inc is your agency if you live in Northeast and North Central Kansas, with a concentration of their services in Shawnee County.

The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN) is your agency if you live in Allen, Anderson, Bourbon, Chase, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Greenwood, Johnson, Linn, Lyon, Miami, Morris, Osage, or Woodson Counties.

The Harvest America Corporation is your agency if you live in Barton, Cheyenne, Decatur, Ellis, Finney, Ford, Gove, Graham, Grant, Gray, Greely, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Lane, Logan, Meate, Morton, Ness, Norton, Phillips, Rawlins, Rooks, Rush, Scott, Seward, Sheman, Sheridan, Stanton, Stevens, Thomas, Trego, Wallace, or Wichita Counties.

The Mid-Kansas Community Action Program,Inc. (MIDCAP) is your agency if you live in Barber, Butler, Chase, Clark, Comanche, Cowley, Edwards, Greenwood, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Kiowa, Marion, Pawnee, Pratt, Reno, Rice, Stafford, or Sumner Counties

The Northeast Kansas Community Action Program, Inc. (NEKCAP) is your agency if you live in Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, Jackson, Jewell, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Marshall, Mitchell, Nemaha, Osborne, Pottawatomie, Republic, Riley, Smith, or Washington Counties. 

The Southeast Kansas Community Action Program, Inc. (SEK-CAP) is your agency if you live in Allen, Bourbon, Chautauqua, Cherokee, Crawford, Elk, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson, or Woodson Counties.

The Wichita Sedgwick County Community Action Program is your agency if you living in Sedgwick County.
